Statement of Work (SOW) solutions
Beacon Hill has the ability to be flexible in our services, offering a collaborative approach to create true partnerships with our clients. The SOW team will design a plan around our client’s needs, which is completely customizable on a per-project basis. Examples include recruitment, onboarding, governance and payroll.
Some examples of SOW projects Beacon Hill works on include remediation projects, medical writing, clinical monitoring teams, GxP Auditing, quality auditors, and project managers.
Contract to hire
Sometimes you want to audition potential candidates to see how they work. Other times, interim positions become full-time jobs. Through this flexible option, both clients and contract employees have the opportunity to further explore each other and make sure they’re making the right decision.
A direct hire is not always the best option – last-minute coverage requirements, short- and long-term projects, and interim demands for specific expertise are constant in the strategic staffing marketplace.
We ensure contractor employee retention for project continuity by offering contractors incentives, medical, and health plans, dental insurance, 401K and direct deposit. Also, we use efficient payroll tools, including mobile and electronic interfaces, while tracking contractor performance in our shared national database, which allows us to conduct all necessary background checks. And we conduct consistent employee and client quality assurance calls to ensure we are proactive, rather than reactive, in resolving issues.
With our temporary and contract staffing options, your project and temporary work gets done with one phone call. We do everything, including, though not limited to:
- terminating employees,
- communicating pay rate and benefits,
- distributing paychecks,
- computing wages and withholdings,
- maintaining personnel and payroll records,
- maintaining liability, fidelity, and Workers’ Compensation insurance coverage,
- and performing certain application procedures, including completion of I-9 forms.
On a contingent basis we:
- research, identify and introduce qualified candidates;
- manage the interview and selection process;
- provide detailed references and background information;
- negotiate compensation;
- and provide valuable feedback after candidates start.

Ms. Chiccarelli is responsible for directing one of Beacon Hill Life Sciences’ Boston recruiting teams and providing top talent to both local and regional accounts. Her specialty and expertise includes partnering with leading professionals in the Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety arenas, but also supports Quality Auditing and a variety of roles aligning with the Clinical Trials process. She has been a consistent top performer and has earned several recruitment awards and performance achievements since joining Beacon Hill in 2015. Ms. Chiccarelli received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI.
Ms. Davies is responsible for leading and directing Beacon Hill Life Sciences' Boston office, as well as managing national and local accounts. She brings 10 years of solutions-based sales experience to the team within the healthcare technology and pharmaceutical/biotech industries. Prior to joining Beacon Hill Life Sciences, Ms. Davies led a sales team with a national consulting firm and has consistently been a top performer throughout her career. Ms. Davies earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Clemson University.
Mr. Gallant is responsible for building and leading a sales team primarily focused on the Greater Boston market within the bustling Pharma and Biotech industry in the Boston office. He has 6+ years’ experience in sales within the staffing industry, with combined experience in the Pharma/Biotech space in addition to the Healthcare industry in the Greater Boston market. Mr. Gallant places a strong and acute focus on being a trusted advisor to his clients, and has been able to build a robust network of individuals within the Pharma/Biotech community in the Greater Boston area. Prior to Mr. Gallant’s time at Beacon Hill, he was a consistent top performer and has been awarded several sales performance achievements since joining Beacon Hill in 2018. Mr. Gallant received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from The University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI.
Mr. Hendrickson is responsible for leading and growing the Mid-Atlantic Beacon Hill Life Sciences region. He brings 10 years of leadership experience in the staffing industry with a focus in Life Sciences & Technology. Prior to joining Beacon Hill Life Sciences, Mr. Hendrickson developed and built out a national sales team and portfolio that included a strong focus in the pharmaceutical space. Mr. Hendrickson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
Ms. Hounschell is responsible for directing the Beacon Hill Life Sciences recruiting team while also providing top talent to accounts throughout the country. She is nationally known for delivering results and for her unique ability to handle dynamic client needs within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and clinical research organization industry. She joined Beacon Hill in 2015 as one of the first Recruiters in the Life Sciences division and has since proven to be a valuable recruiting asset and training staple to the team. Ms. Hounschell has earned a reputation for her understanding of client requirements and for providing quick but valuable top notch talent solutions. Her vast referral network and market expertise have allowed her to become a trusted resource in the Life Sciences industry. Prior to joining Beacon Hill, she was recognized as a top performer for one of the largest clinical research staffing firms in the nation.
Ms. Irizarry is responsible for directing Beacon Hill Life Sciences Boston recruiting team and providing top talent to both local and regional accounts. Prior to joining Beacon Hill, Ms. Irizarry worked for two large clinical research staffing firms where she managed multiple teams with the goal to grow and expand business nationally and to gain more market share in the life sciences staffing industry. Ms. Irizarry has been a top performer in her field for years and has gained recognition for her ability to launch and develop producing teams nationwide and globally. Ms Irizarry received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Mr. Jacklin is responsible for leading and directing Beacon Hill Life Sciences Colorado Springs CO office, as well as managing national and local accounts. He brings 15 years of solutions-based sales experience to the team within the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Biotech, CRO, and Hospital/Academic segments. Prior to joining Beacon Hill Life Sciences, Mr. Jacklin led a sales and recruiting team with a national staffing firm and has consistently been a top performer throughout his career. Mr. Jacklin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing with an emphasis in Sales from Northern Illinois University.
Ms. Losacco is responsible for business development and account management for the Beacon Hill Life Sciences team in the Chicagoland office and has 17 years of experience working in the Healthcare Staffing industry. She is constantly upbeat and positive. Ms. Losacco is well known for working hand in hand with our clients and recruiters to support recruitment initiatives across the nation. She is a strong leader with the ability to deliver talent solutions customized to each client’s needs.
Prior to joining Beacon Hill, Ms. Losacco worked as a Strategic Account Manager, supporting 5 different business lines for a staffing firm in the Chicago market. She received a Bachelors in Science from the Elmhurst College where she majored in Business Management and Human Resources.
Mr. Manzo is responsible for leading the business development functions for the Beacon Hill Life Sciences team in the Boston office. He has 20+ years of experience within the staffing industry, possessing recruiting, business development and leadership experience within the healthcare delivery and pharmaceutical sectors. Prior to joining Beacon Hill, Mr. Manzo was a consistent top performing account executive and business sales manager with a national pharmaceutical consulting firm. Mr. Manzo received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI where he majored in Business Management.
Mr. Matos is responsible for leading the business development and account management functions for the Beacon Hill Life Sciences team in their Chicagoland office. He is nationally known for delivering results and building lasting relationships within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical research organization industry. Prior to Beacon Hill, Mr. Matos was a senior account executive for a leading clinical research staffing firm where he serviced clients on both a local and national level. He has gained recognition for growing market share at multiple clients he has serviced over the years. Mr. Matos received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both communications and political science from the University of Iowa.
Mr. Murphy is responsible for building and leading a recruiting team primarily focused in the Midwest Region. He has 8+ years of experience in sales within the staffing industry, with combined experience in the Pharma/Biotech space in the Midwest Market. Mr. Murphy places a strong and acute focus on being a trusted advisor to his clients and has been able to build a robust network of individuals within the Pharma/Biotech community. Mr. Murphy is a past collegiate athlete who is very team-oriented, loves to learn, and promotes a very strong culture within his team. Take care of your people and they will take care of you!
Mr. O’Grady is responsible for directing Beacon Hill Life Sciences recruiting team and providing top talent to both local and regional accounts. Prior to joining Beacon Hill, he was a nationally-recognized, top performer for one of the largest clinical research staffing firms in the nation where he recruited clinical research professionals on both a local and national basis. Mr. O’Grady received a Bachelor of Science Degree in business from Miami University (OH) where he majored in marketing.
Mrs. Ostrand is responsible for leading and directing Beacon Hill Life Sciences from the Chicagoland office, as well as managing national and local accounts. She is known for delivering solutions within the pharmaceutical industry and has been an expert in both recruiting and sales. Prior to joining Beacon Hill Life Sciences, Mrs. Ostrand was a business development director for a national pharmaceutical staffing firm and also has over a decade of corporate human resources/recruitment experience with pharmaceutical companies. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University where she majored in Marketing.
Mr. Palermo is responsible for building and leading Beacon Hill Health & Clinical Resources, a practice area of Beacon Hill Life Sciences, as well as selling to local and national accounts based out of New York City, NY. His experience and specialty includes selling and leading staffing initiatives within Healthcare. Prior to Beacon Hill, Mr. Palermo was responsible for nationwide business development, as well as building sales and recruitment teams, for the healthcare division of a national staffing company. His dedication to customer service and team-building allowed him to grow his career into leadership within a few years of entering the healthcare staffing field, with his efforts resulting in the significant expansion of his division. Mr. Palermo received a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Psychology from Rutgers University.
Mr. Pirnat is managing director and EVP of Beacon Hill Life Sciences, a specialty staffing division of Beacon Hill Staffing Group. Mr. Pirnat and his team provide customized recruitment solutions to clients in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, gene therapy, cell therapy, medical device, diagnostics, and CRO industries. He is responsible for the national expansion of Beacon Hill Life Sciences, including service delivery, sales, and daily operations. Mr. Pirnat's personal focus on his customers extends through active involvement in industry organizations and events, ensuring a deep understanding of company needs and continual fostering of relationships with industry professionals across the US. He has served as Vice President and Co-Chair of the Chicagoland Chapter of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
Ms. Swiger is responsible for directing the Beacon Hill Healthcare recruiting team while delivering top talent to nationwide accounts. She is known on a nationwide basis for delivering results, and for her ability to manage dynamic client needs within the realms of healthcare and social services. She is able to thoroughly interpret a client requirement and deliver effective and valuable talent solutions. Ms. Swiger joined Beacon Hill in 2020 as one of the first staffing consultants within the Healthcare division and has proven to be a valuable recruiting and training asset to her team, while leading with care and compassion. Prior to joining Beacon Hill, she was partnered with a nationwide staffing firm within the healthcare sphere.
